CLASS OFFERINGS(S) & INTERNSHIPS
Counselor’s Training 1 Class (Class has moved to online Zoom meetings only)

This course focuses on some of the heart issues that need to be addressed in preparation for ministry. Preparing the heart of the minister is a foundational step taken from 2 Timothy 2:21, which says, “Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.” Using primarily the Biblical text, we will examine Scriptural principles for developing a heart of integrity for cultivating a heart conformed to the image of Christ. Students will also be required to take a Life Enrichment class. Each student must also pay a materials fee of $25. To join this class, fill out our sign-up form.

The Book of Revelation Class (Class has moved to online livestreaming only)

Revelation is, and always has been, one of the most controversial and disputed books of the Bible. There are many different ways that people choose to interpret this very important piece of New Testament literature. The problem is that many people attempting their interpretation do not believe in prophecy themselves, and often do not understand how prophecy works. The class will explore the prophetic book of Revelation from a prophetic point of view, providing spiritual insight into what God was speaking back then, and how this applies to the church in the present day. To join this class, fill out our sign-up form.

Intro to New Testament (Class has moved to online Zoom meetings only)

Introduction to the New Testament will cover the historical context in which the New Testament was written, as well as some of the books themselves. There will be other classes on the Gospels, the letters of Paul, and Revelation; but this material will be briefly discussed in this course as well. We will also discuss the book of Acts and the non-Pauline epistles. There will also be an emphasis on the political & religious background of the New Testament times and literature. To join this class, fill out our sign-up form.

GENERAL INFO

At the conclusion of Jesus’ earthly ministry He commissioned His disciples to go forth into all the nations to disciple and teach. Today, this word rings out even more clearly over all the nations of the earth. We need disciples not believers. We need people who are sold out to the call of Jesus Christ in every aspect of their lives and who will help equip others to go do the same thing. Now is our time to have the greatest impact on the world as His followers! This class should be taken with the intent to grow deeper in your relationship with the Lord and activate His principles in our everyday lives. Jesus Christ is not just concerned about what we do, He is concerned about who we are. To join this class, fill out our sign-up form. Have questions or want more information, fill out our contact form.

CLASS OFFERINGS
Pre-Understanding God Class (6th Grade)

In Pre-Understanding God your student will learn why the people of the Bible matter. At this age, the students are becoming accountable to the good and bad consequences of their choices. This class allows them to discuss these themes, build a Christian perspective, develop connections with other like-minded peers and learn how they can make choices, based on accounts of important people from the Bible. This class will leave after praise and worship for room 510. Click here to sign-up.

Understanding God Class (7th Grade)

In Understanding God your student will learn what we as Christians actually believe. Things like baptism, communion, confirmation, anointing with oil, and spending eternity with the Lord. Students will have an opportunity to be baptized, confirmed into the faith and receive their first communion. This class will answer questions about God, solidify their faith and lay the foundation necessary for a healthy, vibrant Christian life. This class will leave after praise and worship for room 509. Click here to sign-up

Applying Your Faith Class (8th & 9th Grades)

In this class your child will learn how what they believe actually affects their everyday life. Applying Your Faith is a curriculum taught mainly through small group activities and lessons that are gender specific. Due to the smaller size of the groups and the integration of adult service themes and ideas your student will get a chance to learn how to be a part of the larger church as a whole and realize how their faith equips them to be an integral part of the church. This class will leave after praise and worship for their separate guy and girl classrooms. Click here to sign-up.

GENERAL INFO

We are very excited to offer all of our Understanding God Program classes this fall. On Sunday mornings kids from 6th -9th grade for this school year can be a part of class during the 10:30am service. These classes are unique and influential for a variety of reasons. The kids that your child will spend their time with in these classes can become the group they will grow up with. Not only that but the opportunity to learn, think and experience God’s goodness in these classes where dialogue is a staple and questions are encouraged, make them really exceptional. We have a committed team of young adults and volunteers who have spent their youth growing up in the church. They have a great deal to offer your family as you work to instill and foster faith in your kids. These classes can be joined at any time. To sign-up, fill out our sign-up form. If you have questions or want more information, fill out our contact form.

Smith continues to live out his dream; releasing new music regularly and performing around the world to sell-out crowds of loyal and inspired fans. Michael has been honored with three Grammy Awards, 45 Dove Awards, an American Music Award and has sold more than 15 million albums.

“I feel God moving through His Church and He is calling us together to be one voice and one heart. One bride. Every nation, every tribe and every tongue. Every social class, every denomination.  What if we bring Him the thing that pleases Him most– our unity,” implores Michael. “We may each have different stories, and skin, and songs, but we all share His same Spirit.  For me, though, music is always my first creative outlet,” he clarifies. “Forever, until the world ends, music is the most powerful language there is.”

HANDICAP PARKING

There is a designated handicap parking lot adjacent to Door #1 in the main parking lot.  You can access this parking lot by entering at the Mt. Zion sign off Maybee Rd.  Please note, there are a limited number of spaces in this lot so if a handicap space is needed we encourage you to arrive early.  Depending on traffic, we also have the ability to ‘drop off’ any family member with limited mobility at Door #1 and then it is possible for the driver to finish parking the vehicle and meet their family member in the center lobby.  Again, if this is of interest, we recommend you arrive early.  Otherwise traffic patterns limit maneuverability in the parking lot to park your vehicle after Drop Off.  We look forward to seeing you at our events and if you have any questions, please call us at (248) 391-6166.
