Halogen (Student Ministry)

This post is also available in: Spanish

Christians can often feel like outsiders because we are called to be different from the world. Even though we’re born to stand out, it can feel like we don’t fit in anywhere. The media, among other influences, can imply a false idea of Christianity that’s boring, un-loving and judgmental; that could make anyone reconsider faith. Halogen seeks to reveal the true call of Jesus by putting together opportunities where the youth are encouraged to be a light. Halogen provides events and services targeted to the youth in order to propose an alternative lifestyle than what is constantly seen in the world around us. These social and spiritual events offer a place to build godly friendships, a sense of belonging and connections with leaders who are encouraging kids in their daily lives as Christians to be the light of the world.

Things like baptism, communion, confirmation, anointing with oil, and spending eternity with the Lord. Students will have an opportunity to be baptized, confirmed into the faith, and receive their first communion. This class will answer questions about God, solidify their faith, and lay the foundation necessary for a healthy, vibrant Christian life.

Description: In this class, your child will learn how what they believe actually affects their everyday life. Cost: $10.00
Bring to Class: NKJV, NLT or NIV Bible; notebook and a pen
