Halogen creates opportunities for middle school and high school students to experience Jesus. Through events, services, and personal connections with Halogen leadership, students are challenged to live knowing that they are the light of the world and that light …shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it (1 Thes 5:5 NIV).

Drama Ministry
If you are interested in acting, we have the place for you! We are looking for actors on Sunday mornings at the 10:30am service. You can act and still attend the main service. Contact Laura Niewoit at 248.391.6166–use your talents in God’s house to bless His people!
Jr. Leadership Program
The Jr. Leadership Program is available in the Children’s Ministry for students in 6th – 12th grade. If you are interested in ministering to children (tech booth, nursery room, helping in the kindergarten class or computer check in), please contact Laura Niewoit at 248.391.6166. The time you spend volunteering counts towards community service hours. Use the gifts God has given you in His house! Hebrews 6:10 “For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints and do minister….imitate those who, through faith and patience, inherit the promise.”
Why have activities?
Where do your children have friends? They have friends where they congregate the most. Where do they congregate the most? They congregate at school, sports practices, dance classes, etc. Why not add one more place to that list: church! This is where we, as parents, give our teens the opportunity to build Christian friends that will support them in the tough choices and enjoy with them all the areas of life God has intended. It is so important that you encourage your teen to participate in church services on a regular basis and to attend special events like the Student Ministry Christmas Formal or Christmas caroling. Annual events such as summer camp and winter youth conference, Acquire the Fire, provide a chance for spiritual advancement and natural connections. If you will involve your teen with the ministers, youth leaders and students participating in the Student Ministry, you will provide them the greatest opportunity to gain Christian friends, incredible memories, and life changing experiences with God.
