"The Angle" After-School Program
If you work during the day and your child comes home to an empty home, or if you would like to have a supervised environment for your child after school--send them our way! "The Angle" after-school program is held at the WCA Monday to Friday from 3 pm- 6 pm . The following activities are available for your child: skateboarding, basketball, billiards, DDR dancing, study time, a café, wally ball, crafts, water coloring, tutoring, cooking classes, and much more! We have trained Mt. Zion staff available to service your child's needs. This program was formerly at the CCA, but has since been improved and moved to the WCA.
In order to make the after-school program an even greater service to our local community, we also offer bussing. Our bus will pick up your middle school child after school and take them to the WCA. A drop-off service after the program is also available to Sashabaw Middle School at 6:00 pm for parents to pick-up their children.
WCA Teen Hang-out
Weekend nights can be scary for parents, especially when teens attend gatherings that are not well-supervised. Mt. Zion sponsors a teen hang-out for grades 6 through 12 every Saturday night from 5:30-10:00PM. Admission is FREE if you attend the pre-hangout service at 6:00PM; after 6:00PM admission is $5.00.
The program is well-supervised by Mt. Zion volunteers and staff, providing a facility where teens can gather and have fun in a safe environment. This is a great opportunity for teens to get together with their friends and play basketball, wally ball, skateboard, pool, hang out in the café, listen to live music, dance and much more.
